Caprili Rosso di Montalcino DOC, 2021
This wine is made of 100% Sangiovese. This is a very special wine from one of Montalcino’s most historic farms. The family has never made better wine than they do today, incorporating modern practices in a profoundly traditional setting. After a very warm summer in 2022, the grapes achieved perfect ripeness in August when the temperatures dropped almost 10 degrees Celsius. In the glass, you’ll experience aromas of mature red fruit, and a robust palate of dark berries and earthy truffle notes. It all comes together with a strong backbone and fine grained tannins. We would love to pair this with pan seared chicken thighs in a mushroom sauce with a veal bone demi glace.
