Domaine de la Goguette ‘Bleu Ciel’ VdF Blanc, 2022
This wine is made from 50% Grenache Blanc and 50% Bourbolenc, with organic fruit sourced from vineyards in the Southern Rhône. The juice bursts with acidity from its clay-limestone terroir. The Grenache Blanc was fermented in fiber tanks before being transferred to large oak barrels, while the Bourboulenc (from 40 year old vines) was fermented in stainless steel. Fermented using native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and zero sulfur addition. We would pair this with tinned sardines, mackerel, Rosette de Lyon, Tomme de Savoie, dried apricots, and some crusty bread.
