Guido Porro Barbera d’Alba Vigna Santa Caterina, 2021
This wine is made of 100% Barbera from Vigna Santa Caterina, a sub-parcel owned exclusively by the estate within the Lazzarito cru of Piedmont. The wine is aged for 6-8 months in concrete and stainless steel, and is very structured texturally. Porro’s Barbera marries the grapes natural affinity for piercing acidity and bright fruit with a velvety mouthfeel and elegance. It is the perfect wine to have with veal pargmigiana, with a gentle sprinkle of capers on top.
